How to Register and Set Up Your Shop Account with Lynx Services
- Account Registration:
- Visit Lynx Services Login Page.
- Use your EIN to create and register an account.
- Lynx requires passwords to be changed every 90 days.
- Post-Registration View:
- Once registered, you should see a confirmation screen similar to the attached example.
- Accessing METRYX® ISR:
- On the left-side blue menu, locate and select "METRYX® ISR" to set up your shop account.
- Filling Out METRYX® ISR Sections:
- The METRYX ISR interface is green and white, divided into several key sections; edit all sections with your business information:
- Company Information
- Contact Information
- Remittance Information
- Accreditations and Licenses
- Recalibration Capabilities
- Glass Programs
- Company Profile Items
- Service Centers

- Setting Up Service Centers:
- The Service Centers section allows you to define your service area for rock chip repairs and windshield replacements.
- Consider your travel preferences. For example, it may not be cost-effective to travel to distant locations, such as Utica, MS, for a $65 rock chip repair. However, a windshield replacement through insurance might justify the trip.
- Important Notes:
- In Mississippi, there are no specific accreditations or licenses required for glass shops.
- Under the Glass Programs section, enroll in both "LYNX Services Participants" and "State Farm O&A" after filling out your profile information.
SGc Network Registration
Safelite Solutions Network Sign-Up
- Access the Form:
- Visit Safelite Solutions Network Help Center.
- On the right side under Guides and Forms, select "Add your company to our national glass shop database". This will download a PDF form.
- Completing the Form:
- Fill out the form completely and submit it back to SGC.
- Required documents include:
- W9 Form
- Copy of Business License
- Proof of Business Insurance (Minimum $1 million liability insurance required)
- Network Membership:
- You must be in their database for 1 year before you can "Apply for membership in the Safelite Solutions Network".
- Until then, you are considered "out of network", meaning Safelite will not refer jobs to you. However:
- Customers can still request your shop.
- Jobs can still be assigned to your shop, allowing you to bill them.
- Membership Requirements:
- Membership in the network requires:
- Background checks on the owner and employees.
- Yearly training certifications.

- Personal Perspective:
- Recognized certifications are conducted out of state, often in Texas or further.
- I am content remaining "out of network" and offering customers the option to use insurance.
- When customers opt for insurance, I call with them using our business phone to set up the claim and immediately get it assigned to our shop.
Invoicing Insurance
Glass Industry Software for Invoicing and Insurance Submissions
Various software solutions are available to streamline invoice creation and insurance submissions, including:
- OmegaEDI
- eDirectGlass
- PGW EverythingAutoGlass
These platforms offer tools for quoting, scheduling, creating invoices, and submitting invoices to insurance companies. Submissions typically incur an additional cost ranging from $1 to $3, depending on the software.
For my business, I use OmegaEDI to quote, schedule, create invoices, and order glass. To invoice insurance, I download the invoice and upload it directly to the insurance company's website for processing.
Creating the Invoice
Each invoice should include the following key details:
- Job Number
- Bill To
- Remit Payment Info
- Customer Information
- Vehicle Information
- Authorization # and Date of Loss
- Using NAGS Part Numbers:
- Include NAGS part numbers in the invoice.
- Each insurance work order will specify a percentage allowed to bill based on the NAGS List Price plus labor (by hours) and kit prices.
- Kits typically include dam, primer, and urethane.
- Additional Authorizations:
- Extras such as rain sensors, moldings, garnishes, or recalibration may require authorization.
- Authorization can often be obtained instantly via the TPA website.
- Recalibration Costs:
- Dynamic or static recalibrations range from $275-$350 depending on the insurance company.
- Both types together have a flat rate of $500.
- OEM Glass/Parts:
- OEM parts must be requested before installation.
- Other authorizations can be obtained on-site or post-job before billing.
- Submission Requirements:
- Safelite: Requires a signed work order, signed invoice, proof of purchase receipts, and an ADAS report. They also require a second invoice through their "Fast Track" option on their website.
- Lynx: Requires a signed invoice, ADAS report, and proof of purchase for OEM items.
- Pricing Considerations:
- Glass prices vary depending on the NAGS price plus discounts specific to each insurance company.
- Billable Hours are listed in yearly catalogs located at Pilkington will-call counter and sometimes stacks will be laid out for shops to take for free.
